Winter Sunday at the Clackamas River.  My husband and I were under the weather over the weekend, only venturing out Saturday to walk down Peacock Lane, and by Sunday we were anxious to be out in the natural world, to breathe in fresh air, and to see the river wild on the winter solstice.  I stood on the riverbank and thought about the past year.  It's been a year of change and so much goodness.  I hold my boys and all those I love close to my heart as we enter the next.

I wish for you a very happy season to come, full of love and light and all good things.

  1. Merry Christmas Lori .. you take such amazing photos ... may I ask what kind of camera you use? Your pictures are consistently gorgeous.
The camera isn't doing all the work, you just have an incredible eye for composition and color. It looks like such fun. Glad you and your husband are feeling better ... getting out into the wet winter air always makes me feel better. Cheers!

  2. Merry Christmas, Sue! Thank you so much. I really appreciate your comments. I have a Nikon D3100 that I don't really know how to use very well! I hope to learn to use the manual settings more, but for now I just kind of fly by the seat of my pants and hope for the best... :)
