It felt great to get outside yesterday and go for a long walk around Minto-Brown Island Park. It was cold, damp, and a bit slippery from the flooding, but it smelled great - like trees and plants starting to bud out and flower - and we had the trail mostly to ourselves. We saw (and heard) lots of birds, in particular several Steller's Jays. Wonderful. It has us all now dreaming of taking our bikes down there on a warm summer day...
