We went to Butte Creek Falls in the Santiam State Forest over the weekend. A peacefulness always comes over me when we first step onto a trail under a canopy of trees. I love the feeling that we are all alone there, even though we are surrounded by all kinds of living things ~ beautiful and amazing living things that spark our curiosity and imagination and feed our souls.
