end-of-summer garden pizza


I've had a lot of zucchini and yellow squash on hand (thanks, Dad!), an ever present supply of goat cheese, and cherry tomatoes that are just coming on.  Perusing smitten kitchen, a favorite cooking blog, I found this, the recipe for "lemony zucchini goat cheese pizza."  Anything with goat cheese immediately gets my attention, but all of the other ingredients were also perfect for this endeavor.  The only changes I made were to add cherry tomatoes, which I think really added great flavor, and to use an already-prepared whole wheat pizza crust.  Oh, and I used more goat cheese than called for, because I have no self control where goat cheese is concerned.  It was so simple, so delicious - even better than I imagined it would be.  5 stars!
